• I reported on municipal, provincial and federal issues for these sister community newspapers, including researching and writing stories on city council, urban development, healthcare, environment, and elections.

1999-2000 | Story Producer, BC Now (The Knowledge Network)

• I contributed story ideas, conducted pre-interviews, and wrote scripts for this weekly current affairs TV program.

2000-2001 | Associate producer for various current affairs programs, CBC Radio

• I pitched ideas at daily story meetings, researched stories, conducted pre-interviews, booked guests and wrote interview scripts. I did most of this work for On the Island, CBC Victoria’s daily morning show, as well as some work on a casual basis for CBC Vancouver’s daily current affairs programs (Almanac, The Afternoon Show, The Early Edition).
