• I reported on municipal, provincial and federal issues for these community newspapers, including researching and writing stories on city council, urban development, healthcare, environment, and elections.

1999-2000 | Story Producer, BC Now – The Knowledge Network

• I contributed story ideas, conducted pre-interviews, and wrote scripts for this weekly current affairs TV program.

2000-2001 | Associate producer for various current affairs programs, CBC Radio

• I researched and contributed to story ideas that I pitched at daily story meetings, booked and conducted pre-interviews with guests, and wrote scripts. I did most of this work for On the Island, CBC Victoria’s daily morning show, as well as some work on a casual basis for CBC Vancouver current affairs programs (Almanac, The Afternoon Show, The Early Edition).
