I’ve been responsible for the maintenance and updating of organizational websites in my  various roles at the SFU Urban Studies Program (2015-2022), the Office of the BC Ombudsperson (2008-2011) and for a federal member of parliament (Victoria, 2006-2007).

• At both the Urban Studies Program and the ombudsperson’s office, we went through major website overhauls while I was in either a communications or management role.
• As a result, my responsibilities included liaising with and directing the graphic and website designers we had hired to carry out that work, as well as for collecting input on our current websites from our various stakeholders and website users.

• I built this, my own WordPress website, gradually, using Elementor and compatible plugins, as well as drawing on technical and troubleshooting help as needed from WordPress experts.

• In addition to WordPress.org, I’ve used WordPress.com, Adobe AEM, Joomla and Drupal to make or maintain websites.
• Between 2012 and 2017, I used WordPress.com to create one personal blog and one blog to document my research and learning while doing my master’s in urban studies at SFU. I no longer maintain either one.
