Delegate Me Services

Rates and Payment

Rates

  • My standard rate for administrative services is $50/hr.
  • For editing, my rates start at $60/hour for copy editing. For projects that mainly require stylistic, substantive or developmental editing, my rate is $70/hour.
  • Sometimes clients have projects that require technical or more advanced skills, or that will require a combination of skills. I’m happy to work on these types of projects, but I will need some information before I can provide you with an hourly rate or overall project estimate. Please be in touch via my contact page.
  • I generally don’t do rush jobs, which I define as those with a turnaround time shorter than 48 hours (from the time I receive your deposit). My rush rate is double whatever the regular rate would be.
  • Rates are provided in Canadian dollars. They do not include the Canadian Goods and Services Tax, which will be added to your invoice/s.

Payment Types and Policies

If we are new to working together, I require an up-front deposit of 50% of the estimated total. I will need to receive this before I can begin work on your project. For clients where we have an established working relationship and a history of on-time payments, the up-front deposit is 25%.

Accepted forms of payment

  • Interac e-transfer
  • PayPal
  • Credit card

Note: I don’t accept payment by cheque.

Other Terms and Conditions

I work remotely (virtually), usually while based in Vancouver, BC, Canada, which is in the Pacific time zone.

If we decide to work together, I will send you a contract outlining the terms and conditions of my work. I will need to receive a signed copy from you before I start the agreed work and will also provide you with a signed copy.

Please feel welcome to book a short, free, exploratory call with me to discuss your needs and any questions you have. This will enable me to better understand your project and provide you with a cost estimate. You can book a 15-minute slot on my calendar here.
